April and May, there was work and some play!

Well its been a while since we added some new pix of the family. So I thought that it was time to get some new ones up. Here are a few scattered over the last few months. We've had a busy few months. We had to go out of country to get new visas and are currently going out again. This has offered some needed rest but also a chance to hit some cool places for the kids. We went to a botanical garden, museums, and some good restaurants. We are going back to the same city this week and hope to hit even more parks, playgrounds, and museums than last time.

Also in April was the grave sweeping day. Its a day where all people go clean the graves of loved ones and then provide supplies for them in the afterlife. There are two pictures here. One is of incense burning at a grave. This helps the spirits know where to go. Also there is paper money burning for them to use in the afterlife. Some people even burn pictures of cars, watches, and houses. They believe that these will be given as a reality to their ancestors in the afterlife. Bottom line is that they live in fear and need "Hope". The last picture is of a man that just finished a chicken sacrifice. The blood is to bring extra power to the ancestor in the afterlife. He poured the blood on the paper money and on the incense sticks. It was an overwhelming day, we saw literally tens of thousands flocking to the mountains in the countryside to do what you see in these pictures.
